From the examination task
to the right equipment

Tone and speech audiometry form the basis of many audiological examinations. Depending on the specific assessment requirements, these may be supplemented by free-field measurements, speech-in-noise tests or specialised procedures. It is crucial that the audiometer, test materials and sound transducers are all compatible with one another.

With the AT2000 and AT800, AURITEC offers two systems for clinical audiometry. Together, we will select the configuration that best suits your patient groups, examination procedures and workflows – whether for a new clinic or to expand your existing equipment.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about clinical audiometry

Answers regarding testing options, equipment and upgrades.

The basic range of tests includes tone and speech audiometry. With the appropriate equipment, free-field measurements, assessments of speech understanding in the presence of background noise and other specialised procedures are also possible. The scope depends on the audiometer, its configuration and the available test licences.

In addition to the audiometer, this includes suitable test procedures and sound transducers – such as headphones, earphones, bone-conduction headphones or loudspeakers. The choice depends on the planned tests. Operation, calibration and acoustic conditions must also be appropriate for the test setup.

Yes, provided that the testing procedures, transducers and examination protocols are suitable for the respective patient groups. In the case of children, their stage of development, understanding of the tasks and willingness to cooperate are particularly important. Child-friendly testing materials and visual cues can complement the examination.

This depends on the audiometer you have, the software, the connections and the transducers. We will work with you to determine which additional test procedures or measurement functions can be integrated. We’ll start by looking at your current equipment and the tests you’d like to carry out in future.
