Audiometry equipment

An audiometer on its own does not make for a complete examination station. AURITEC works with you to tailor audiometry systems, transducers and furniture to your premises and the intended workflows.

When technology, space and processes work in harmony

A well-designed audiometry system creates the conditions for a smooth examination process: the patient sits in the designated measurement position, the loudspeakers comply with audiology standards and are positioned appropriately. All controls are easily accessible.

Whether for clinical diagnostics, paediatric audiometry, cochlear implant assessments or research – we design the equipment based on the range of examinations you carry out. In doing so, we take into account the acoustic conditions and the existing technology. The result is a workspace in which the components and measurement capabilities are perfectly coordinated.

Your room will be turned into an examination room

Are you planning a new installation or would you like to use an existing room for a different purpose? Please send us your floor plan and let us know which tests are required. Together, we will work out what equipment is needed and which existing components can be incorporated.

FAQ

Well planned: Questions about your audiometry system

What we need for the planning stage and what is important when it comes to setting up the exhibition stand and the display.

It is helpful to have a dimensioned floor plan, details of doors and windows, and an overview of the existing equipment. In addition, the planned examinations and patient groups should be taken into account. On this basis, the layout of the equipment, the operator’s station and other equipment requirements can be discussed.

This depends on the measurement methods and the acoustic conditions. It is crucial that ambient noise does not unduly affect the test. Whether a soundproof booth, a suitable test room or additional acoustic measures are required must be assessed for the intended application.

The positions of the loudspeakers, their distance from and orientation towards the person being tested must be appropriate for the measurement procedure. Room acoustics and reflective surfaces also influence the sound at the measurement point. The layout and calibration should therefore be planned in conjunction with the installation.

We check whether existing audiometers, transducers and furniture are suitable for the future test setup. In the case of technical components, compatibility, condition and calibratability are particularly important. This determines which equipment can be retained and where additional items are required.
